Definition : Laboratory analyzers designed to determine the morphology of the blood and blood-forming cells. These analyzers are used to perform complete blood counts, determine hemoglobin concentration, evaluate the adhesion of cells to one another (aggregation), detect abnormalities in the process to complete normal blood clotting (coagulation), and/or perform ABO grouping and subgrouping, Rh and other red cell phenotyping, and antibody detection.
