Calipers, Electrocardiogram

Definition : Calipers designed to measure the distance between two points on a printed electrocardiogram waveform. These instruments are typically metallic, compasslike, handheld instruments with two adjustable, straight, hinged legs with sharp, rigid tips. Electrocardiogram calipers are intended for manual processing and assessment of electrocardiograms; they may be also used to measure sections of other physiologic waveforms or electronic image prints.
