Dry Eye Test Strips

Definition : Narrow paper strips or threads coated with a fluorescent dye or stain (e.g., fluorescein) used as a tool for diagnosing dry eye syndrome. The strips (some of which are printed with a calibrated scale) are held up to the inside of the lower eyelid for a specific amount of time to measure tear production.
