Nasopharyngoscopes

Definition : Respiratory tract endoscopes designed for direct insertion into the nasal cavity for visual examination, biopsy, and treatment of lesions of the nasal cavity, pharynx, and pharyngeal end of the auditory tube. Nasopharyngoscopes usually consist of an outer sheath, a lighting system, and a working channel for catheters and operative devices; they may be flexible or rigid.
