Walker Trays

Definition : Flat boards (i.e., trays) designed for use as walker accessories that are mainly intended to facilitate a patient's activities such as eating, writing, or reading. These trays are typically made of metal, hard plastic or wood and attached to the front or sides of the walker using clamps or hinges. Dedicated walker trays filled with gel and/or special paints for sensory (i.e., tactile) stimulation for disabled patients are available; walker arm boards used to support the arm are also available.
