Tables, Imaging, Nuclear Medicine
Definition : Imaging tables with a contoured table top made of a radiolucent material (e.g., carbon fiber) usually covered with a thick mattress and including head, arm, and foot rests. Most tables have wheels on their base and their movement (e.g., horizontal, vertical) can be controlled either manually or automatically for fast and accurate patient positioning. These tables support the patient's body in adequate position during nuclear medicine imaging procedures (e.g., SPECT, whole body, planar).
