Boards, Dissecting

Definition : Boards designed for dissection of human body parts. These boards are typically constructed of a stain- and chemical-resistant material (e.g., high-density polyethylene). To reduce the possibility of spreading infection, the surface is usually nonporous and appropriate for mechanical washing and autoclaving; the borders are typically shaped to avoid spills.
