Tubes, Tracheal, Laser-Resistant
Definition : Tracheal tubes designed to retard fire and reduce the risk of damage caused by laser radiation during surgical procedures. These tubes are typically made of metals (e.g., stainless steel) and/or combinations of metals and plastic materials (e.g., polymers covered with aluminum). Laser-resistant tracheal tubes are used in surgical procedures that deliver laser radiation on or around the head, neck, or throat.
