Brushes, Dental, Micro-Application

Definition : Brushes designed for application of dental materials in or on small and/or difficult to reach places of a tooth. These devices typically consist of a disposable micro brush with a plastic handle (straight or bent) and a tip at the distal end appropriate to carry the adhesive. The micro brush applies the material (e.g., cement, etchant, sealant, conditioner) to the surface (e.g., inner walls) and/or interior of a tooth (e.g., root canal) before positioning the restoration in place. Micro-application dental brushes may be used for a variety of applications; including cementation of onlays and inlays, placing of dental posts, and other minor restorations on teeth.
