Regulators, High-Pressure Gas, Spray Delivery

Definition : Regulators designed to reduce the output pressure of gases stored in high-pressurized gas containters (e.g., a medical gas cylinder) to provide a controlled pressure (typically less than 100psi/7bar) and flow rate appropriate for spray delivery to patients. These regulators include controllers and may include a manometer to measure the output pressure of the gases. Spray delivery gas pressure regulators are placed between the output port of the high-pressure gas (e.g., carbon dioxide) container at one end and the spray applicator that delivers the aerosol mixture to the patient at the other end. The applicators may be intended for external application (e.g., tissue adhesives) on the skin and/or for use in endoscopic procedures.
