Racks, Laboratory Procedure, Staining
Definition : Racks designed for holding several glass slides to be used in a biochemical technique of adding a dye to a substrate, usually to qualify or quantify the presence of a specific compound (i.e., staining). These racks typically consist of a metal, glass, and or plastic framework with holders or handles holding the slides so that they can be dipped into the solution all at the same time, rinsed, and left to dry. Laboratory staining racks are used in pathology, microscopy, and hematology laboratories.
