Definition : Machines designed for manual removal of pill and capsule medicines from blister packaging. These machines include a mechanical, usually portable unit which uses a manually operated mechanism to separate the pills and/or capsules from the package. They also include containers for the pills and capsules. These machines are mainly used in small pharmacies and also for disposal of pills and capsules that are no longer appropiate for clinical use. These machines are mainly used in small pharmacies and other low-volume medicine-managing departements.
