Definition : Stand-alone canopies designed for outdoor protection against the environmental conditions (e.g., sun, rain). These canopies are typically made of a solid, impermeable fabric cover mounted on four or more plastic or metal poles. These canopies usually do not include walls but may include lateral mesh panels to avoid insects. Outdoor canopies are available in several sizes and colors; they are mainly intended for recreational and home purposes and/or for use in a variety of massive events.
