Definition : Electric signal amplifiers designed for the amplification of bioelectrical signals generated during electroencephalography procedures. These electrical signal amplifiers (also known as head boxes) are connected to scalp electrodes via leads. Weak electrical signals received as input from the electrodes are amplified by the head box, which transmits the amplified signals to electroencephalographic recorders or processing devices.
