Electrogastrographs

Definition : Graphic recorders of the electrical activity from the smooth muscle of the stomach. These recorders include electrodes placed internally through invasive procedures or externally on the skin and appropriate amplifiers. Electrogastrographs can be used in the investigation of the physiology of the gastrointestinal tract and gastric disorders.
