Definition : Powered wheelchairs (wheelchairs that are self-propelled, usually by an electric motor) designed for daily use by disabled people. These wheelchairs may include foot rests, a table (e.g. wraparound, cut out) for patient use (e.g., dining, writing), and restraints (e.g., safety belt), and other attachments according to the person's needs and comfort.
