Definition : Percutaneous drainage biliary catheters that are connected to an external drainage bag, permanently or temporarily. They are frequently used until internal drainage using a stent, endoprosthesis, or surgical procedure is accomplished. A technique combining these catheters with percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy has been used to drain bile into the digestive tract.
