Definition : Reagents used in tests (i.e., serologic tests) to measure serum antibody titers, antigens, or toxins due to pathogenic microorganisms (e.g., bacteria, viruses, parasites) through in vitro reactions of immune sera (e.g., agglutination, complement fixation, precipitin).
