Reagents, Immunoassay, Bone Metabolism Marker, Cross-Linked N-Telopeptide (NTx)

Definition : Immunoassay reagents intended to perform qualitative and/or quantitative analyses on a body fluid sample (typically urine) to determine a fraction (known as NTx) of the amino-terminal telopeptide that originates from one of the two intermolecular sites of the pyridinoline cross-linking with type I collagen. Increased levels of NTx are strongly associated with bone-resorption (NTx is a sensitive bone resorption marker) in osteoporosis and other bone diseases.

Entry Terms : "NTx Fraction of Carboxyterminal Telopeptide Determination Reagents" , "NTx (Cross-Linked N-Telopeptide) Determination Reagents" , "Cross-Linked N-Telopeptide (NTx) Determination Reagents" , "Carboxyterminal Telopeptide Fraction Determination Reagents"
