Definition : Immunoassay reagents intended to perform qualitative and/or quantitative analyses on a body fluid sample (typically serum) to determine one or more of a group enzymes that are secreted in the gastrointestinal tract, including a group of aspartate proteinases (i.e., the pepsinogens) and two other aspartate proteinases, cathepsin D and E. These enzymes can be determined using isotopic and nonisotopic immunoassays.
