Definition : Implantable clips designed to bring together tissues or to occlude small blood vessels in the eye. These clips are usually small, metal (typically tantalum) devices that are implanted using dedicated appliers. Implantable ophthalmic clips are intended to approximate the edges of a wound and/or for hemostasis of small blood vessels in the eye.
