IVD Test Reagent/Kits, Molecular Assay, Gene Anomaly, Mutation, KRAS2

Definition : Molecular assay reagents intended to identify mutations in the v-Ki-ras2 Kirsten rat sarcoma 2 viral oncogene homologue (KRAS2), located at chromosome 12p12.1, which encodes proteins that play a role in normal tissue signaling, including proliferation, differentiation and senescence. This is an oncogene. Mutations at this locus have been identified in patients with lung, pancreatic, endometrial, and colorectal cancers.
