Definition : Molecular assay reagents intended to identify mutations in the succinate dehydrogenase complex, subunit B, iron sulfur (IP) (SDHB) gene, located at chromosome 1p36.1-p35, which encodes for succinate dehydrogenase complex iron sulfur subunit, involved in the oxidation of succinate. This genetic mutation has been identified in patients with succinate dehydrogenase complex B deficiency, associated with carotid body tumors, pheochromocytoma, and early-onset renal cell carcinoma.

Entry Terms : "Succinate Dehydrogenase Complex B Deficiency Gene Mutation Reagents" , "Solid Tumor Cancer Gene Mutation Reagents" , "Carcinoma Gene Mutation Reagents" , "SDHB Gene Mutation Detection Reagents" , "Reagents, Molecular Assay, Gene Anomaly, Mutation, SDHB"
