IVD Test Reagent/Kits, Molecular Assay, Gene Anomaly, Mutation, SRY
Definition : Molecular assay reagents intended to identify mutations in the sex determining region Y (SRY) gene, located at chromosome Yp11.3, which encodes for a transcription regulator protein that is the controlling genetic "switch" in male development. This inherited genetic mutation has been identified in patients with gonadal dysgenesis XY female type (Swyer syndrome).
