Stent Delivery Kits

Definition : Prepackaged collections of devices and supplies (either custom or standard) designed to deliver stents to appropriate locations inside the vasculature according to the intended use (e.g., angioplasty, aorta dissection treatment). These kits typically include the implantable endoprostheses (i.e., the stent) that may be inserted or mounted on catheters that include a compliant section near the distal end appropriate for stent delivery and deployment. Ancillary devices (e.g., syringes, needles) and products (e.g., glue, saline, alcohol) may be also included for use during the stenting procedure. Stent delivery kits for the lower and upper gastrointestinal tract, the biliary ducts, and the vasculature are available.
